MyTrax GPS started with a simple idea: What if there were a live GPS vehicle tracking application designed with smaller operations in mind?  With a background in shuttle operations on a small university campus, we had become frustrated with the available solutions.  They all seemed to be geared toward city bus tracking, with all of its complexity and expense.  Not only were we being charged for features we didn’t need, but all of these features cluttered up the display maps, making them harder for our customers to use.

What we wanted was a cleaner, simpler interface, and something we could just set up without haggling with salespeople or relying on a vendor to set up our system for us.  We wanted display maps that could be embedded in our website and our University app, so that our customers could use them easily and we could retain our branding.

That solution did not exist.  So, we made it ourselves.

Easy Set-up

With MyTrax GPS, you don’t have to wait for a vendor to create an account and work with them to set up your fleet trackers and maps.  You simply register for a new account and get started setting it up.  From start to finish, it should only take a few hours, with tips and videos available on every page to walk you through the process.


There is a free MyTrax GPS app available right now in the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.  But, we designed the service to be able to run on virtually any smart phone or GPS-enabled tablet.  That’s right! You don’t even need to install an app on your device to use the service.
Track your fleet vehicles using whatever device is convenient to you!  And you can be certain that all public maps are mobile-friendly as well, whether your customers are using the MyTrax GPS mobile app or viewing the maps online or through your own custom applications.
